The stories by Estonian historian, journalist and writer Andrei Khvostov were originally published in newspapers and magazines. As a writer, Khvostov is fiery and sharp, he even calls for an attack. Because discussing our own and foreign topics from one, another or even a third perspective does not leave Estonians indifferent. However, in several of these stories, the motive of reconciliation or compromise is also important, both in a negative and positive sense. The third motive can be highlighted as the clash of historical and national “truths”. One may not like the piercing of taboos, but it must be accepted. The publication of the book has been supported by the Ministry of Education and Research, the Estonian Cultural Endowment, the City of Tartu and the Estonian Thought Foundation.
