The book-album “Kushan Empire: Dynasties, State, People, Language, Writing System, Religions” is dedicated to the history and culture of one of the greatest states of the Ancient World. It focuses on the history and culture of the Kushan Empire located in the south of our country (Surkhandarya region), where such outstanding monuments of the Kushan era as Ayrtam, Dalverzintepa, Kampyrtepa, Old Termez (Karatepa, Fayaztepa), Khalchayan are concentrated. In this regard, the illustrative part presents masterpieces of Kushan art from republican collections stored in the Institute of Art Studies under the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan, the State Art Museum of Uzbekistan. Gold pieces of the famous Dalverzin hoard are also presented in the book-album.
