Krivopete are wild women with back twisted feet, only known in Slovenia in the folklore of the north-western Slovene ethnic area, especially Venetia and Upper Soca. The author places them alongside the fairytale creatures with the same deformation of the feet found in the folklore of individual peoples at different ends of the world.
