Mykola Khvylovy (1893–1933) is an iconic figure of Ukrainian modernism, a poet, novelist, and ideologist of the cultural revival of the 1920s. The appearance of our five-volume volume is a unique chance to get acquainted with the most complete collection of his works. The provided notes will allow you to better understand the context of the author's work. The publication is intended for the widest possible circle of readers who are interested in Ukrainian literature and culture. The first volume included poetry collections, poems and individual poems, as well as declarations and literary reviews. The selection of author's texts is accompanied by two prefaces - a portrait of the writer by the compiler Rostyslav Melnikov and a literary survey by Oleg Solovya. The second volume contains small prose and part of the epistolary. The texts are accompanied by a preface by Vera Ageeva, which clarifies the main motives of Khvylovy's novel. The third volume included novels, novellas and short stories of the writer. The selection of the author's texts is preceded by a literary investigation by Yuriy Bezhutroy, which outlines the main motives of Khvylovy's short prose. The fourth volume included the writer's prose from 1927-1930s, as well as Khvylovy's letters and preface to the first volume of "Selected Works", which was published in 1932. This time, the collected texts are preceded by a literary article by Victoria Zengva.
