This book is a reprint of the work of historian, employee of the Institute of the Tatar Encyclopedia of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan, seminary teacher Evgeniy Vasilyevich Lipakov (1959-2012) "Kazan Theological Seminary: historical essay", published for the first time by the Center for Innovative Technologies in Kazan in 2007. The author tried to summarize the historical path of the theological college, continuing the tradition of valuable prerevolutionary essays on the history of the seminary, written by A. Mazhorovsky and K. Kharlampovich. The book, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Kazan Theological Seminary, contains an edited text of the first edition, as well as corrected inaccuracies in names, dates and facts. The editor rewrote the section devoted to the history of the Kazan Theological Seminary at the present stage (1998-2023).
