Peculiarities of the Kalmyk language functioning, the history of its development, its theory and use are explored in the offered monograph. The work presents the first attempt to analyze the Kalmyk language from general linguistic perspective. Specific attention is given to the reasons that ban effective usage of Kalmyk, and the ways to remove them are offered.
