Iosif (Osip) Ivanovich Khodzko (December 6, 1800 - February 21, 1881) - Lieutenant General of the General Staff of the Russian Army, Russian military surveyor, geographer and cartographer, world-renowned research scientist, initiator and main executor of the Greater Caucasian Triangulation named after him ; a native of the territory of modern Belarus, by religion - a Catholic.
