The extensive set of interviews provided by Karel Kryl in the years 1968-1994 is not only a unique self-portrait of one of the most important personalities of Czech culture of the second half of the twentieth century, but also an invaluable chronicle of the time. Almost a third of the interviews are printed here in Slovak - a language that Kryl loved as much as Czech.
