In the book the term of international transport corridor (ITC) has been defined, definitions for various ITC subsystems have been formulated and classifications of ITC and frontier crossings have been proposed. The main macroeconomic prerequisites influencing the formation of international transit freight flows and their routing in the Far East of Russia have been identified. The main methods have been formulated to determine the parameters of development of the frontier infrastructure of the Russian areas of ITC. A system of evaluation has been proposed, which makes it possible to determine the optimum ratio between the handling capacity of the ITC transport infrastructure units and the volume of freight flow passing through ITC.
