The monograph considers socio-humanitarian aspects of modern society, which entered a totally new stage of its development. It analyzes technological issues of the information society, realities in various social spheres; and conditions of human existence, which appeared quite recently and have not managed to gain a sound theoretic support. A central topic of the research is the development of the information society in Russia. The attention is drawn to changes in social stratification, new educational functions, science and culture.
