Janis Tomass' poems quickly developed a special style that cannot be confused with others; metaphors are filigreely twisted or poured out like happiness. Everyday life, familiar to many, is dressed up in such a unique form: the most unexpected poetic images, conjured up by comparisons and other means of expression, both bloom and flourish; poetry is masculine, which in some places can be compared to macho expressions, but at the same time touching and vulnerable, including self-ironic.
