The collection is dedicated to the memory of Ilya Konstantinovich (Tyko) Vylko (1886-1960), an original artist, storyteller, traveler, explorer of Novaya Zemlya, guide and participant in polar expeditions, the first chairman of the Novaya Zemlya Island Council, a man of many talents. The collection includes manuscripts of I.K. Vylko from various repositories in Arkhangelsk, including his diaries for 1926-1928 and 1930-1932, letters, fairy tales, a science fiction story, as well as publications from previously published sources that are now poorly accessible to readers. The purpose of the publication is to preserve and popularize the creative heritage of an outstanding representative of the Nenets people.
