The album was published on the occasion of the exhibition "Ilya Ilf as Photographer/Collection of Alexandra Ilf, Moscow", organized by Marin Loshak, Director, Moscow Arts Center. The edition represents the works by a zealous amateur photographer, one of the authors of two popular in Russia satiric novels, "Twelve Chairs" (1928), and "The Golden Calf" (1931).
