In this book the author resorts to historical reconstruction of the fate of the legendary Russian national hero Iliya Muromets. In the author’s opinion, one of his prototypes could be the saint Iliya Muromets from the Kiev and Pechora Lavra. Basing on little-known documents the book tells the history of development of the Russian state under the reign of the first Kiev dukes.
