The new monograph of the famous Ukrainian scholar, political analyst and publicist Petro Ivanyshyn is devoted to the sociosophical interpretation of the role of basic ideologies (social worldviews) in the emergence and functioning of state (political) existence. According to national freedom as a fundamental social value, the author distinguishes three types of fundamental worldviews and their corresponding types of political consciousness - imperialism, cosmopolitanism and nationalism. He also gives numerous examples of the coexistence of cultural and political ideas and practices and the consequences of their implementation in different types of political systems - empire states, cosmopolitan neo-colonial states, and nation states.
