In this book the author seeks to establish linkages between ideas, people and events in the field of U.S. foreign policy making. The great attention is focused on analyzing in which ways scholars and pundits participated in elaborating of U.S. international conduct. This book was written to give a more clear understanding of how the system of foreign policy expertise worked in the United States from the end of the Second World War till the end of the Cold War. The book was written on the basis of American archival and library sources, as well as vast array of special literature on the subject.
