In October, 2000 international conference “Europe - Japan - Ukraine: the ways of democratization of the state and legal systems” was held. It was organized by Institute of State and Law named after V.M.Korets'ky, by National Academy of Science of Ukraine, and by Japanese Law Fund. More then 500 participants from Ukraine, Great Britain, Poland, Germany, France, and Republic of Belarus discussed theoretical and practical problems of harmonization Ukrainian legislation with the international European law.
