This novel is a lyrical story of the lives of two outstanding women: artist Kateryna Bilokur and singer Oksana Petrusenko.
Kateryna was not allowed to study and draw, and she did not think of herself without a picture - hiding from everyone, she painted whimsical birds on a canvas stolen from her mother. At fourteen, Oksana had to go to work to support her little brother and the whole family. Difficult vicissitudes of life were a constant obstacle to their creativity.
In the end the women's destinies were intertwined. The future artist wrote Oksana Petrusenko a letter with her drawing - a broken viburnum branch. The singer was struck by the combination of colors and shades, and also by the pain that flowed through the image. Thus, a new stage began in the life of Kateryna Bilokur, which would lead her to fame.
