The book is devoted to M.Yu. Lermontov’s visit to the Caucasus and the creative history of a number of his Caucasian works.
The publication sheds light on the history of the Lermontov's Pyatigorsk region; the poet's participation in the events of the Caucasian War; his acquaintance with A.P. Ermolov and the idea of a novel about him; the Gortsy are the heroes of Lermontov's works; the history of the memorable Lermontov's sites of the Caucasian Mineral Waters.
The narrative is based on a documentary basis. Many forgotten or little-known pages of the Caucasian antiquity are reflected on the pages of the book.
Author: Markelov Nikolay Vasilievich is a member of the Union of Writers of Russia, the chief custodian of the State Museum-Reserve named after Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov.
