This monograph develops topics of the previous edition "Tendencies of Human Development in Kazakhstan" published in 2001. The book opens with a general theoretical part which dwells on the concept of human development and its changes. Methodology of statistic evaluation of human development in Kazakhstan is presented in the form of a system. The monograph also contains analysis of the main tendencies of human development in Kazakhstan as well as a comparative analysis and trends of human development in the CIS countries. Results of the researches have been used in some state, sectoral and regional programs dealing with the issues of human development and poverty elimination.
