This book summarizes the long lasting observations of one of the best literature critics of the works of Khristo Botev (Khristo Botev, born 1848 – died 1876 - a Bulgarian symbolic historical figure and real national hero, a poet and a national revolutionary for the freedom of the Bulgarians from Ottoman slavery). The book study important issues connected with the particularities and the history of Botev’s poems, it presents in details the Khristo Botev’s newspapers and the ideas which his articles bring. The study puts a new light on the contacts of the great revolutionary with his adherents in Romania and Russia as well as the links of the literature and the journalistic works with the ideas of time and their influence on his contemporaries.
