This is a book about the Narowlyansky Palace - an old house on the banks of the Pripyat River, filled with love, piano music and family secrets. This is a literary study in which the biography of the palace is intertwined with my personal history. It is also a story about the people who called the palace their home, and about the eras that passed outside its windows.
The book combines elements of realism and magical realism. In it, bronze lions walk through the park, and people from portraits walk along the corridors. When entering the house, be prepared: the owner may return from eternity at any moment to answer a phone call.
