Marian Varga, a unique artist, composer, instrumentalist, bohemian and intellectual, who influenced several generations of lovers and admirers of beat music in Czechoslovakia with his life and work. From the end of the sixties of the last century until 2017, he was one of the most prominent personalities of the Slovak music scene. His extraordinary charisma, appearance, language expression and, above all, his unique and inimitable way of playing keyboard instruments, enhanced by a unique and unmistakable melody, fascinated everyone who had the opportunity to experience him at concerts and performances. The book presents the most iconic photographs of Marian Varga by seventy-five Czech and Slovak photographers, which were exhibited in the Danubiana gallery on the occasion of his late 75th birthday. Almost 300 photographs capture Marian Varga from the 1960s and are accompanied by his texts, quotes from interviews and his biography.
