Today not only specialists, but non-specialists as well, show interest in the history of the Russian Orthodox Church of the XXth century. The renovation split attracts a special attention. The main goal of the present work is to study the history of renovation split in the Urals and bordering areas. The author had to show the moving forces and trends of the local events’ development in connection with the known events in the center; to define the stages; to give comparative characteristics of the renovation state in different areas, and to characterize people involved in the process.
