Ukrainian People's Aid (UNP; until 1926 - People's Aid), the fourth largest Ukrainian fraternal security union in the United States (since 1950 also in Canada), founded in July 1913 with headquarters in Pittsburgh. About 10,000 members of the UNP, organized in about 200 autonomous departments, elect their Main Board every 4 years. Before the Second World War, the UNP united mostly Orthodox Ukrainians, and its organ "Narodne Slovo" (monthly since 1914, since 1921 - weekly, recently - biweekly, since 1959 renamed "Ukrainian People's Word") was a spokesman for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. UNP maintained ties with NGOs in Western Ukraine and helped them financially. After the war, she became a co-founder and active member of the UCCA and ZUADK and supported other Ukrainian organizations, including schools and youth; since 1959 he has been cooperating especially closely with the organizations of the Ukrainian Liberation Front.
