The book traces the history of the formation and development of the bodies of representative power in Kamchatka in the person of the first regional and district congresses, congresses of Soviets in the 1920-1930s and the Kamchatka Regional Council of Working People's Deputies in 1940-1993. It is shown how their activities influenced the socio-political, economic and social conditions. The book presents materials and photographic documents from the collections of the State Archives of the Kamchatka Territory and the Kamchatka Regional United Museum, most of them have been published for the first time.
