The edition includes new documents and photos about the regiment’s history during the years of World War I. Taking into consideration the fact that so far there has been no works to cover the whole history of World War I and participation of the Don Army in it, the author had to process the materials written by different authors on various topics. As the data and facts published in the 2nd edition do not cover this or that question fully enough, the author adds a short bibliography at the end of the book. All the dates till January 31, 1918 are given according to the Old Style.
