The edition presents the main scientific work of D.A. Milutin - a study on Italian and Swiss Suvorov's campaigns. Initially A.I. Mikhailovsky-Danilevsky worked on the book, but unfortunately he only began the study and died, so after his death Milutin was entrusted to continue the study on the Emperor’s order. The author gives a detailed description of all military and diplomatic actions that occurred during the struggle with revolutionary France.
