This publication is the collection of the materials of the international academic conference, devoted to the 20th anniversary of the academic and educational activity of the Russian society of historians and archivists (ROIA). The collection contains source study and historiographic problems, a considerable part of the collection is made up by reports on practical activities of regional branches of the ROIA. Among the participants of the conference were academics and archivists, employees of museums and libraries, military historians and experts in the field of foreign Russia studies and genealogical studies.
