The monograph on the history of the Minsk regional customs was first prepared and published in Belarus. An in-depth study of this topic was conducted by Viktor Ostroga, Head of the Department of Customs at the Faculty of International Relations of Belarusian State University, and Sergey Ivanov, Head of Customs. As a result of their two-year joint work, a unique monograph appeared, based on documents from the National Archives of Belarus and the archives of the Minsk Regional Customs.
The authors paid special attention to the activities of the Minsk Customs in 1922–1991 and its formation as a regional one since 1992, examined in detail the results of the work of the Minsk Customs in the field of regulating foreign economic activity and ensuring economic security at the present stage. The book contains unique historical photographs handed over by veterans of the customs service. An appendix to it gives a chronology of the most important events in its history, and presents the restored names of many of its leaders, starting from the end of the 15th century. The publication of the monograph is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Minsk Regional Customs.
