May 3, 1921, the Council of People's Commissars of the RSFSR signed a decree "On rest homes". In the summer of that year, the first Soviet sanatoriums opened in Sochi, in former private hotels, boarding houses, and dachas. Many leaders of our state (I.V. Stalin, A.I. Rykov, M.I. Kalinin, K.E. Voroshilov, V.M. Molotov, ets.) rested and were treated in the Sochi Matsesta area, at the "Blinovka", "Puzanovka", "Vasilyevka", "Zenzinovka" dachas, and others. The book contains everything that might interest the reader. Firstly, there is a wide range of archival materials that were recently stamped "secret." Secondly, there are a lot of rare photos. The author traces the history and fate of the royal palaces and noble dachas, tells in detail about the architecture of the buildings and their former, pre-revolutionary owners, which makes the book rich in human history. Author: Andrey Evgenievich Artamonov, is known for his articles and books on the history of the creation and functioning of suburban government residences in the USSR.
