The book consists of a preface and six separate sketching essays. In the first of them, "Case Against Secrecy," the creation of Fau-1 and Fau-2 missiles in Hitlerite Germany is described. Despite the strictest secrecy and considerable efforts of the general designer, a number of cases did not allow to bring the work to the end and at the right time. The sketch "Coat with a wide sleeve" tells about the history of the creation of hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers and the plans of German intelligence to use them to attempt on Stalin. The cases helped the workers of the Soviet counterintelligence nullify the efforts of the Nazis. The third sketch speaks of another failed assassination attempt - the assassination attempt on Hitler on July 20, 1944. Everything was thought out: a briefcase, a bomb, a fearless performer Colonel Stauffenberg, but ... do not push Colonel Brand a briefcase with a bomb behind the curbstone during the meeting at Hitler’s headquarters, everything in world history could be different.
