Scientific monograph. Health cooperatives (in the form in which they were established in Serbia during the 19th century) can be considered a "Serbian invention", a model that in that form (according to available documentation) was the first of its kind and whose idea was far-sightedly initiated and developed Serbia that good, and then in the Kingdom of SCS and the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. The emergence of health cooperatives is of immeasurable importance because it was this "invention" that helped solve numerous public health, educational, demographic and other problems after the First World War (and previous Balkan wars, 1912-1913). The cooperative concept was so successful that numerous foreign delegations, from the representatives of America and India, to those from Poland and Japan, came to be instructed in the work of health cooperatives, then transferring the experiences and knowledge of our cooperatives to their countries and implementing them in health cooperative organizations and unions.
