The monographic study is devoted to modern challenges in the field of guaranteeing the rights and freedoms of a human and citizen in Ukraine. Aspects of the philosophy of human rights are studied and the conceptual basis of human rights, the social role and place of human rights in the legal system as a whole are substantiated. The democratic principle at the heart of Ukrainian constitutionalism is singled out and a consistent interpretation of individual political rights of citizens is formulated. Constitutional guarantees of the rights and freedoms of a human and a citizen are considered through the prism of the implementation of the principles of the rule of law and legality in state-social relations.
