The monograph contains a complex analysis of texts of the Byzantine Emperor Konstantin VII Bagryanorodny, and other sources dealing with the origin and settling of Croatian tribes, ethnic history of Slavic people of the Transcarpathian Region. Taking into account the modern archaeological and linguistic data, the author studies the origin of the ethnicon ‘Croats’, first representatives of this nationality, geographic location of Great Croatia, ways of migration of Croats in the early Middle Ages.
