The book presents an overview of the medicinal German-speaking incantatory tradition in its main thematic and figurative solutions. The study of German verbal-magical practices allows us to look into the depths of the ages and see the history of the emergence and spread of individual secret plots and motifs, known to Belarusians as well. Comparative studies reveal a Western European quota in Belarusian orders. Behind the short commissioned texts, a rich worldview foundation with its dense and organic interweaving of archaic mythological and Christian currents is revealed to the reader, as well as daily human life in all its abundance of manifestations and crisis states, behind which is a living person with his pain, emotions, desires and shortcomings.
