The monograph is an attempt to scholarly develop the structural-compositional and lexical-stylistic construction of the Old Tatar arabographic texts of the Tatar periodicals of the beginning of the last century. The book touches upon both general theoretical questions of the functioning of the literary language, and the problems of correlation of terms such as "newspaper language" and "journalistic style". Particular attention is paid to the issues of the origin of the Tatar periodical press and its role in the formation of the norms of the literary language of the period under consideration.
