This is a collection with texts which were presented for the first time at the scientific conference “Generation of Power: “Aprils Generation” in Bulgarian Literature” held on June, 3rd 2016 from “New Bulgarian Studies” department at the New Bulgarian University. The texts deals with the problems about the genealogy and the construction of the concept “Aprils Generation”; about dividing lines and situational unities between individuals and groups in the generation - "rural" and "urban" wing, "modernists" and "traditionalists", "classical" and "free verse" Dividing lines and situational unities between individuals and groups in the generation - "rural" and "urban" wing, "modernists" and "traditionalists", "classical" and "free verse"; about the specifics of the so-called April Poetry; about the "April Generation" as the foundation of the "April Hearts" community, when in the 70s and 80s of the 20th century many poets took the leading positions in the literary field. In the focus are the figures of the emblematic "Apriltsi" such as L. Levchev, Vl. Bashev, Slav Hr. Karaslavov, M. Chokkin and others, as well as of authors positioned between the norm and the exception such as Stefan Tsanev or with a bright alternative presence such as Konstantin Pavlov and Ivan Dinkov.
