Five interviews with people who have spent a long time dealing with the life and work of Milan Rastislav Stefanik reveal different aspects of his personality. We learn how Stefanik's political attitudes changed over time, how he fluctuated between conservative and liberal values, between the monarchy and the republic, faith and atheism. We follow his footsteps in Prague, Paris, Rome and other parts of the world. We find out what he was working on as an observer, what progress he had made in his scientific work, and what was all about the profession of astronomer at that time. We can almost see him climbing Mont Blanc three times, setting out on various expeditions, trying to obtain money for it all, as he never had too much of it. We find him in hospitals, sanatoriums, and in spas where they are treated for serious health problems, especially with the stomach. We hear of his loves, of the women he loved and who loved him, of engagement and painful breakups, of the ideal of women's beauty, which did not always coincide with his real relationships.
