The authors examine gender education issues within the context of the higher education reform in Armenia. They pay special attention to the role and place of gender disciplines in the system of civic education, to the development of democratic culture in Armenian society, to raising gender awareness and gender sensitivity of young people. The gender education issues are examined from the perspective of civic society building and of the enhancement of students’ active civic stance.
