The book contains the memoirs of Valentyn Kohno, the son of Protoiereus Mykyta Kohno, a prominent figure in the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church during its first revival in the 1920s - the 1930s. Mykyta Kohno was an active participant in the Ukrainian national-liberation and church-liberation movements, and he made significant efforts to preserve the memory of the Ukrainian church-liberation movement. The book also includes additional explanations and supplements by his brother Taras Kohno.
