This volume includes notes-reflections in recently discovered and previously unpublished notebooks, in which B. Momyshuly regularly entered various events in which he was a participant both in the war and in the post-war period, his observations, rich in aphorisms and winged words, diagrams, tables, and even sketches of type images during protracted meetings, in his words, "... drew all sorts of idiots." The book consists of two parts: the first is called "From the notebook of Bauyrzhan Momyshuly". I recall the words of the batyr and the writer, who noted in his notes: “Keeping a diary has become a common thing, a necessity, has become one of the integral parts of my military service.” It contains materials of different subjects. Among them is a letter from Ilyas Omarov (1910-1970) addressed to B. Momyshuly, from which it is clear that they have a trusting creative relationship. Bauke batyr sent him his article, where he tried to reveal the evolution of military fiction from the epic to the present, made a philosophical analysis of this genre of literature and touched upon the issues of the heroism of the Kazakhs in the war. I. Omarov generally gave a positive assessment of the creative work of the batyr, pointing out some shortcomings that require deeper understanding and analysis (Ilyas Omarov is a statesman of Kazakhstan, served as deputy chairman of the Council of People's Commissars, Minister of Culture of the Kazakh SSR. - Approx. Authors).
