This compilation reports from the October 5-6, 2018 conference commemorating the 80th anniversary of Prof. Dr. Boris Parashkevov, organized by the Department of German Studies and Scandinavian Studies, as well as supplementary articles written on the occasion . She presented highlights from the academic and research career of Prof. Boris Parashkevov, who established him as a respected teacher of generations of philologists, a linguist of international renown, with a great contribution to the development of Bulgarian German studies and to the creation and development of Scandinavia in Bulgaria, many times distinguished for his contributions to science and teaching and education.
