The collection of articles concerns the study of fortification heritage of the USSR and Russia including defensive structures at the Far East and North-Western region of Russia. The data on construction and service of permanent beach defense fortification in Vladivostok (1932-1945), biographical materials about military engineers constructed Vladivostok Fortress Major General A.P. Shoshyn and Lieutenant Colonel P.V. Zagliadimov are presented.
