The publication characterizes the process of formation and development of Soviet health care on the territory of Belarus in the context of changes in the socio-economic situation and political shifts in 1917-1921. The influence of revolutionary upheavals, hostilities of the Polish-Soviet war and the transformations of the Bolsheviks in the early 1920s on the state of medical care for the population of Belarus is shown. The essence of the Bolshevik vision of the healthcare organization, its theoretical foundations and features of their practical implementation on the territory of Belarus in the studied period are revealed.
