The monograph is devoted to the comprehensive study of the forests of Abkhazia. In it, the central place is given to forest-forming processes. The genesis and regularities of the florocenotic, ecological-geographical, forest-typological differentiation and age dynamics of one of the ancient and complex forest communities dominated by Caucasian fir, Pitsunda and Koch pines, Oriental beech, Iberian and Gartvis oaks, Sowing chestnut, Bearded alder, Boxwood forests. The strategy of management and development of the forest industry is reflected, issues of integrated forestry in mountain conditions are considered, and ways and methods of rational use of forest resources, methods of increasing the productivity of forests and their protection are outlined.
