The book presents the comparison of the two esoteric traditions - Kabbalah and alchemy. The analysis is based on a wide range of Jewish Kabbalah and natural-philosophical sources as well as those of European alchemy of the XIIth - XVIIIth centuries. The main object of the study is a Kabbalistic treatise “Esh metsaref” (XVIth - XVIIth centuries) the original text and translation of which is published in the appendix.
