The book looks into the development of the Bulgarian Air Force during the Cold War and the post-1989 period of democratic changes. The first part of the book traces the history of the Air Force School Graduates of 1972. The 124 pilots who graduated in that year served their country for 34 years. Special emphasis is laid on the phasing-in of jet aircraft in the Bulgarian Air Force and the re-armament of the service. The second part features a lot of data about the country's military aircraft.
