Fastiv Cossack and Haydamatsky is the first generalized study on the history of one of the most famous centers of the Ukrainian Cossacks on the Right Bank of Ukraine - Fastov, which is associated with the National Liberation War of the Ukrainian people 1648-1658, the activities of Colonel Semyon Paliy, Hetman Sami Samusya, Ivan Mazepa and Pylyp Orlyk, as well as the Haidamak insurgents during the Koliivshchyna of 1768–1770.
The book, which covers events from ancient times to the nineteenth century, is based on both published and archival sources, sheds light on the unknown pages of the historical past of an important region of Ukraine in the Cossack era.
