The book offered to the reader's attention is the first translation into Russian of fairy tales, legends and anecdotes recorded by the famous Turkologist V.V. Radlov in 1886. Today it is the most complete collection of Crimean folklore. Samples of oral folk art, published by Radlov in 1896, provide valuable material not only for the study of folklore, but also for acquaintance with the life, history, and culture of the Crimean Tatars and Karaites.
